I'm a wildlife photographer and ecosystem ecologist based on Vancouver Island aiming to share my passion for British Columbia's marine and terrestrial ecosystems. After finishing both a BSc. and an MSc. in Marine Biology, I now work as a Naturalist sharing my knowledge and love of our coastline and the creatures that call it home. While I love anything to do with the ocean, birds, and forest ecology, I am particularly passionate about the salmon spawn and the ecological function of marine-derived nutrients in the riparian zone. My camera accompanies me on most of my outdoor adventures including kayaking, birding, sailing hiking, camping, snorkeling and skiing. When I'm not taking photos, I can be found knitting, reading, or impatiently waiting for the salmon spawn to start again.
Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing prints, cards, or my annual wildlife calendar. I can be reached on Instagram @Pacific_Passion, or at www.facebook.com/pacificpassion. I also have a book in the works that will examine Pacific salmon's semelparous life history.
